Tap Off Rules and Responsibilities
Each dancer/ensemble agrees to the following conditions:
Deadline: All soloists, duets, trios & ensembles must apply by January 25, 2008. Space is limited so apply now! Everyone will receive an email confirmation of their registration.
Class Registration & Age Requirement: Open to performers ages 8 to adult. All Tap Off performers must be registered students in a minimum of one Winter Tap Master Class. Class registration deadline for Tap Off performers is January 25, 2008.
Arrival & Check-In: All pre-registered participants must arrive and check-in between 4:30 – 5:00pm at the Winter Tap Off location: LaGuardia High School, Little Flower Theater, 100 Amsterdam Avenue at 65th Street. All pre-registered participants will be given will be given an approximate time of appearance on stage. Please arrive dressed and ready to perform. All participants are expected to behave professionally.
Ticket Information:
Winter Tap Off: $15 in advance, $20 at the door
New Tap Choreography: $20 in advance, $25 at the door
$10 savings before January 25: $25 for both Tap Off and New Tap Choreography tickets if purchased before January 25.

Scholarship Awards: All pre-registered participants will perform their piece before a panel of judges and has a chance to win Tap Dance Training Scholarships towards enrollment at Tap City 2008 in July. $500 (First Prize), $250 (Second Prize), and $100 (Third Prize). The First Prize winner will also be asked to join the professionals for the evening concert!
Your Music/Submission: Each pre-registered participant is asked to limit his/her solo/duet/trio/ensemble piece to approximately 3 minutes! Anything over 3 & 1/2 minutes will automatically be disqualified! If you are using music, only professional quality recorded CD's are acceptable. Badly burned CD's that are inaudible will result in your dancing a cappella. Please bring one copy for your performance and bring a backup copy with you. Both CD's should include your name and name of piece. Only the piece that you are performing should be on your CD. Please leave a 5 second lead in. Remember to collect your CD afterwards. The ATDF is not responsible for music that is left any where during the event.
