Gregory Hines Youth Scholarship Fund

In its commitment to diversity the ATDF continues to administer the Gregory Hines Youth Scholarship Fund for serious tap students ages 4 – 19. Scholarships are awarded to students based on both financial need and artistic merit. The goal of the program is not only to offer training and performance opportunities to ‘under-served’ youth, but also to encourage pre-professional level students to continue with their studies with on stage performing experience. The program brings together students from different socio-economic and racial backgrounds.

The American Tap Dance Foundation established the Gregory Hines Youth Scholarship Fund for serious tap students who wish to study in one of the following ATDF Programs:

ATDF Year-Round Youth Classes (ages 3 – 19)

ATDF Weekend Intensives & Workshops (ages 13 – 19)

Tap City Youth Ensemble/Tap City Junior Ensemble (ages 10 – 19)

Tap City – The New York City Tap Festival (ages 6 – 19 Youth or Pre-Professional Program)
