Clog, Body Percussion, Jazz, Funk, Rhythm, Music for dancers

New works presented by leading soloists and ensembles from
around the world.

“Tap City” VIP Benefit/Reception
The Duke on 42nd Street (6:00 pm - 7:30 pm)
The The Tap Preservation Award was given to Sali Ann Kriesman
and the Hoofer Award was given to both Buster Brown and Jimmy
Slyde. Performances followed with special appearances by Gregory
Hines, Savion Glover, Dianne Walker, Tony Waag, Jimmy Slyde,
Sarah Petronio and others.

Teaching staff and other professional soloists perform.

“Tap Talks – Tap Films”
The Duke on 42nd Street (11:00 am & 2:00 pm)
Leading educators and masters in the tap field will present
and conduct panel discussions, lectures, and film presentations
on tap dance history, personal careers, and current issues,
culminating with a presentation and announcement of this year’s
NYC Tap Dance Hall of Fame inductees.
