Co-presented with Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and The Joyce Theater “Tap City Downtown” was an evening performance that featured a variety of tap soloists and ensembles including Harold Cromer, Michelle Dorrance, Barbara Duffy & Company, DeWitt Fleming, Derick K. Grant, Chikako Iwahori, Kendrick Jones, Margaret Morrison, Max Pollak’s Rumba Tap, Lynn Schwab, the Tap City Youth Ensemble, Tony Waag (as Master of Ceremonies) Karen Callaway Williams and others. Bernice Brooks on drums/musical director, Theo Hill on piano, and Joe Fonda on bass.
