All students registered in the Youth, Pre-Professional Programs, and Adult Residencies will be performing their newly learned tap works at the Tap Future performance. If you or your ensemble would like to audition for an additional performance opportunity, follow the application directions below. Please note that only two or three soloists, and two or three ensembles, in total, will be selected.

Audition and Application Information:

All performers must be registered students in the Tap City Youth Program, PPP, or an Adult Residency.

Audition video should show the completed work the soloist or ensemble plans to perform (not an incomplete work-in-progress).

We are looking for works from all ages that demonstrate professional caliber compositional ideas, clean tap dance technique, and an advanced level of musicality and timing. Dancers are encouraged to use simple costuming.

Work should be 2-4 minutes maximum.

Music: works may be performed to recorded music or no music. Accepted performers should bring music on a CD, and bring a back-up CD. Only the music of your number should be on the CD, Ensemble or Soloist Name should be written on the CD. Make sure your CD is burnt correctly and can play on a variety of players. Faulty CDs will result in your group dancing a capella.
