No pre- registration required!

For Fees: see chart below.

Adult students can start at any time.  4 class card for beginner classes expires 6 weeks from date purchased. 8 class card for beginner classes expires 10 weeks from date purchased. There are no refunds, no extensions on tuition for classes not taken.  Students may do make-ups within 10 weeks at any Beginner class. No registration fee!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

(listed in order of most basic to most advanced)

Absolute Beginner Tap for Adults and Teens 13+

Designed especially to give new students a chance to learn the basic steps and vocabulary of tap dance, this class is a great way to learn the FUNdamental skills needed to join our BEGINNER tap class, or "brush up the basics". If you’ve always wanted to try tap, this is your chance. No experience necessary, some loaner tap shoes available.  If you can walk, you can tap.

FIRST class is FREE for new students! (for Absolute Beginner Level only)

Beginner Tap for Adults & Teens 13+

Beginning level classes for students who already know flaps and shuffles and are ready to learn fun and easy combinations.

Fast Beginner Tap for Adults & Teens 13+

Beginning level classes for students with a year experience. Geared towards students who want to work at a faster pace than our regular Beginner class, but not as fast as Advanced Beginner.

Advanced Beginner Tap for Adults & Teens 13+

Advanced Beginning classes for students who are comfortable with flaps, shuffles, time steps, paddle & roll.  Excellent choice for dancers with just a few years experience or older dancers who want to learn at an easy pace.

Adv Beginning Repertory for Adults & Teens 13+

Are you ready to hone your performance skills through classic and contemporary tap works?  Each Session Lynn Schwab teaches a work of tap repertory geared to Advanced Beginning level students.

Fall Session: Sept 13 – Dec 14, 2011

Winter Session: Jan 3 – Mar 18, 2012

Spring Session: Apr 19 – Jun 17, 2012

Lynn Schwab teaches both classic and contemporary tap repertory geared to Advanced Beginning level students, in three separate fun and supportive Sessions (Fall, Winter, & Spring) Students will work on personal style while developing a solid foundation in tap repertory developed by Lynn and handed down to us from past masters of the form. The Session ends with an opportunity to present the work in an informal performance. No drop-ins allowed, students must register for an entire Session, but students may take one class before registering. Students in this Repertory course are encouraged to attend one of our weekly Advanced Beginning tap technique classes.


Intermediate Technique for Adults & Teens 13+

Moderately paced intermediate classes for students who are very comfortable with the basics, time steps, paddle & roll, and are ready to move on to challenging choreography.

Mondays, 5:00-6:15pm Taught by Michela Marino-Lerman

"Class will consist of working on mastering technique and musicality.  We will learn historical dances as well as my original choreography, and learn how to apply what we have learned to create your own choreography.  In addition we will spend the last few minutes of class jamming and working on improvisation skills." Michela

 

Fridays, 12-1:30pm Taught by Germaine Salsberg

Technique and choreography -  Germaine is well known for teaching solid technique. In this class she will combine the first portion of technique with the second as choreography, drawing from her rep from her company Les Femmes Plus. She will teach both rep from her pieces as well as develop new choreography for the future. Different styles of tap will be explored. Come prepared to dance!


Intermediate/Advanced Technique and Repertory for Adults & Teens 13+

Fast moving or challenging tap classes for advanced level dancers, professionals, and intermediate dancers who want to push to the next level.

Advanced Technique and Repertory for Adults & Teens 13+

Tap master/choreographer Brenda Bufalino teaches workshop for int/adv/professionals

Tap 4 Tha People Adults & Teens 13+

Donation based combo class for Inter/Advanced level students and professionals.

Looking to Jam?  Looking to learn more?  Come work out, discover, and explore on a Friday afternoon with class times focused on that improv circle and learning new choreography with Lisa La Touche.  These classes are geared towards all int/adv to professional dancers who are looking to just get in the studio and continue a momentum of growth.  Leave your excuses at the door, bring your love for tap dancing, pay what you can and let's just DANCE!
